Everyone has different things they want to achieve. A goal might be to stick to exercise, complete a college project or save money. No matter what goals you have, they can be tough to stick to and track your progress. This is where SMART comes in! The acronym SMART has several slightly different variations, which can be used to provide a more comprehensive definition of goal setting:

Specific: the goal must be precise and clearly defined.
Measurable: progress can be accurately recorded and measured.
Attainable: the overall goal must be reachable and achievable.
Realistic: setting an unrealistic goal will result in discouragement and inability to achieve, therefore setting a realistic goal in relation to time, circumstance etc.
Time: time management is important as not enough time/too much time will negatively affect the end result.
